Shooting at the Beverly Hills Inn was a lot of fun. The place was absolutely beautiful and looked more like a studio apartment than a hotel. Everything was really vintage and cozy which made for some very nice photos but that wasn’t why I picked this location.
I had heard rumors of the hotel being haunted by some of the elderly women who had passed away there in the days when what is now a hotel served as a boarding home for elderly and widowed women. I’m a horror movie connoisseur and it certainly takes a lot to spook me but when I say that there is certainly *something* spooky about that place, i mean it sincerely! Whether it be the strange presence felt by myself and all of the models I worked with during my stay there or the strange anomalies in several of my photographs, I’ve now got plenty reason to believe the rumors of the strange happenings there are 100% true. If you don’t believe me, google and read up on the place for yourself! Still feeling skeptical? Call them up and book room 36. Stay the night. Have fun ;-)

Side note: I’ll be posting the photos with the strange anomalies as soon as I develop these last few rolls of film. I’m hoping to find even more odd “things” in them… I just could resist posting a few early scans! Enjoy!
Things in my life rarely go as planned- Last Saturday was supposed to go smoothly; Photo shoot at 8am in a flower field and spend the rest of the day developing and making prints. Well the model I was supposed to photograph that morning cancelled an hour before we were supposed to start shooting. After a few hours, I decided that I couldn’t let the day go by without shooting SOMEONE. Enter Marina! Marina was kind enough to let me use her home as the set for a past shoot in which I photographed a friend of hers. I told her that day that she and I would have to work together soon or the world would surely end. Well, there was no better excuse for an impromptu shoot than the one I had Saturday. There was, however, yet another issue. After picking Marina up for our shoot in the field, the engine in my SUV went to shit. Hole in the block. It was starting to look like I wouldn’t get anything done. Things worked out well enough for me to get the brakes fixed on my other car just in time for us to wander the countryside and stumble upon a state senators house. He was kind enough to let us use his 150 acre property (aren’t politicians wonderful!?) And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how these lovely photographs of Marina came about.
Enjoy!
…I’ve decided to make a new watermark for my photos. Of course, that won’t stop people from being idiots and posting their URLs under them like they had anything to do with the photos or whatever but hey, it’s the internet; not everyone has common sense.
Anyway, THIS is Jessy… The cutest and happiest model I’ve ever worked with. Her personality is so bubbly. She’s the kind of person you can’t help but smile around.
